TERMS AND CONDITIONS
General
You may be required to provide evidence of your identity before, at or after registration, as part of our responsibility to ensure your eligibility to participate in the program.
You must comply with all reasonable requests by the deadlines set. If you fail to provide satisfactory evidence of your entitlement to participate in the program, we reserve the right to withdraw your offer and regard any subsequent registration as null and void.
You must comply with all requests for information or documentation to support your application by the deadline set. This includes any requests for additional information or documentation relating to a criminal conviction.
If you have particular support needs or disabilities which may affect your ability to undertake all or part of your program of study, you are encouraged to disclose these and discuss them in full with the ILJMuseum Advisory Team.
Visas
Participants are responsible to secure legal permission to stay in Schengen area countries, including Greece, for the duration of their stay.
For any assistance, you should contact the nearest authorized Greek Embassy or Consulate in your country, in order to be informed about the required documents and the formal application procedure.
Please, take into consideration that the procedures may be time consuming, therefore you are advised to start in good time.
Health – Travel Insurance & property insurance
Participants are required to have secured a comprehensive health insurance policy which will cover their stay abroad for the duration of the program. Participants must provide the ILJMuseum with proof by date. Participants are recommended to carry travel insurance.
ILJMuseum does not accept responsibility or liability for participant’s personal property. Participants are advised to take out personal insurance to cover any loss or damage to personal property which may occur during their participation to the program.
Cancellation of a program
The ILJMuseum reserves the right to cancel a program due to unforeseen or other factors beyond its control. In this case the ILJMuseum will refund only payments regarding tuition fees received and will have no further liability to participants.
Flight Disclaimer
The ILJMuseum reserves the right to change the program dates or cancel sessions due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event a program date is changed or cancelled, the ILJMuseum will notify all candidates/participants immediately. The ILJMuseum will not be liable for unused tickets from a cancelled program.
Financial well-being
Participants are fully responsible for their financial well being while enrolled in the program.
The ILJMuseum does not make personal loans to participants under any circumstances.
ILJMuseum is not responsible or liable for theft or damage to property throughout the summer school period.
Participants are responsible for securing funds to cover for their expenses for the duration of their stay in Greece including daily expenses, travel and transportation expenses, and costs for Optional day Field Trips.
Daily Optional Field trip costs, such as evening events, are subject to change, but Participants will be advised upon registration.
Public transportation tickets that the ILJMuseum does not issue are subject change and Participants will be advised upon registration.
Participants are responsible for their own living accommodation and expenses and must ensure they have access to the necessary funding before the start of the program of study.
Participants must agree to pay Fees in accordance to payment instructions.
The ILJMuseum will invoice Participants or any third party notified of in writing who will be paying Fees on their behalf. ILJMuseum invoice will stipulate the dates for payment. In the event that any third party does not make payment in full by the due date, the Participant will be liable for any shortfall.
Participants agree that additional Fees be payable in the event that they request any changes to the Services the ILJMuseum provides (i.e. Meal Plan).
Observance of Law and Behavior
Participants understand and are responsible for their own behavior and are subject to and will abide by the laws of the program host country, Greece.
The ILJMuseum is not liable for actions that violate the laws of the Greek state.
The Program Director reserves the right to expel a participant for misconduct of behavior. Faculty members will inform the Program Director for any misconduct or behavior of participants for further consideration.
Waver and release of Liability
In consideration of the opportunity to participate in the program, Participants agree to release and discharge the ILJMuseum and its agents, officials, representatives, directors, faculty, and staff (The releases ) of/from any and all liability (including financial liability), claims, demands, causes of action, loss, damage, or injury to person, (including serious injury and/or death) and property (including lost or stolen personal property items ), which may result while participating, for on or during transportation organized by ILJMuseum during classes and fieldtrips regardless of whether such loss is caused by the negligence of the releases, or otherwise and further agree to indemnify and hold harmless any release.
These Terms may be revised from time to time, where in the ILJMuseum’s opinion will assist in the proper delivery of any program or in order to comply with any changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements, national guidance and to reflect market practice.
Please ensure that you read these Terms carefully. If you think that there is a mistake or require any changes, please contact the ILJMuseum to discuss. We will confirm any changes in writing to avoid any confusion between us.
These Terms are governed by Greek law. Participants and the ILJMuseum both agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Athens courts.
